Question Can I put watermelon rinds in the disposal

I have never had a garbage disposal before and am sometimes stumped as to things I can put in it.
Can I put in watermelon rinds if I cut them up into small chunks?

I've had a disposal for years and the only things I have ever had problems with were potato and onion skins. Never any problems with watermelon rinds though.

Wanna know a secret to garbage disposals I learned while managing apts :

Coffee Grounds: Sand blast the sides of the disposal.... bag and all!!
Chicken bones: Sharpen the blades !!

Honest to goodness. It helps with the life of the disposal!! Now my luck with potato skins is the worst. They get stuck in the j trap everytime!! But as for watermelon.... grind away... just cut it up a little.
